Olai Chuvadi Astrology means palm leaf manuscripts. Long ago, great sages (Rishis) like Agasthiyar, Bogar, and others wrote people’s life predictions on palm leaves after deep meditation and divine vision.
These writings are not general horoscopes. They are specific records of individuals’ past, present, and future, believed to have been written thousands of years ago.
Instead of using date, time, and place of birth, thumb impression is taken (right thumb for men, left thumb for women). The thumb impression pattern is matched with a set of palm leaves to find the person’s exact record.
Once the correct leaf is identified, it reveals details like the person’s name, parents’ names, life events, challenges, remedies, and spiritual guidance.
Why is it special?
It is believed that only those meant to receive this knowledge will be led to it.
The astrologers in Vaitheeswaran Temple are the custodians of these manuscripts, passing down the knowledge through generations.
Few people like Mr. Muthulingam who is a 5th generation astrologer from his family lineage and he is continuing this practice and ensuring the authenticity of the readings, from the Ashram Temple.
